The graph compares the percentage difference in average residential
prices in New York, Madrid, Tokyo, Frankfurt , and London of in the years 1990-2002 compared to that of the year 1989. Overall, the house prices in 1990-1995 mostly had reduced in most of the
places from that
of 1989 prices and prices in 1996-2002 had gone up from that of the first
period.
The most striking difference was in London, of which where the former years marked a -8% decline and in later years noted
a 12% increase compared to
that of 1989. New York also remarked had the same trend, It had a fall its house price was 5% less in the first period and then
had a rise of 5% more in the second period.
On the other hand, other
cities also noted a higher prices from their first period, for instance at
first Tokyo had was 8% less in the first period and then it increased slightly but
it was still 5% less than that of 1989. The figure for decline and in later period only had -5%
decline in house price. While, Madrid increased slightly had
higher increase in later period from 2% to
4% more than that of 1989 over
the period rise.
