The chart illustrates the latest trend in art investment
which includes painting, ceramic, sculpture and furniture by different age
groups in New Zealand. Apparently, younger age groups have different interest
of art but the 50 and above age groups have more similar interest with more even spread of
the investment.
Looking at the details, the age group 29-39 spends the most on sculpture of about 50% of their investment. On the
other hand, the age group 39-49 also spends the most of about 50%but contrarily they spend on ceramic.
Interestingly, both groups also spend the least of about 10% but on different
stuff, as the former spend on ceramic and the latter on painting. The older age
of 50 and above groups, on the other hand spend evenly on each category of
about 20-30%.
In term of categories, painting and furniture have more even
spending by all age groups of about 10% to 30% of spending. Whereas, the figure for ceramic
and cultures note differently in 29-39 age group (10% and 50% respectively) and
39-49 age group (50% and 10% respectively)
