time spent on leisure activities, pie chart, IELTS task 1,band 6.5




















The pie charts compare the hours spent per week on leisure activities between men and women of age 21 to 40. Apparently it shows that women spent more hours than  that of men on all the activities listed except for TV and internet on which were more time was spent more by men.

Looking at the details, men spent most of their time on TV and internet (16.2 hours) followed by on other home activities (8.6 hours), while. However, on the opposite, women spent the most time on other home activities (10.6) followed by on TV and internet (9.2 hours).

Beside this two opposite trend, other activities seem to follow, showing similar ranking of hobby. Both men and women had the third most hours spent on socializing (4.1 hours by men, 6.1 hours by women). It is followed by eating out, cinema, pubs (3.3 hours by men, 5.3 hours by women) and the least  time is spent on sports and walking (1.1 hours by men, 1.9 hours by women)

To sum up, both men and women showed similar pattern of interest except that men prefer to spend more time on TV and internet than  that of other homey activities.
